Help Bring Compassion to Classrooms

The Greater Good Science Center is helping the internationally renowned Roots of Empathy program expand to the San Francisco Bay Area this fall — and there's a way you can help it bring more compassion to classrooms.

The program is looking for local volunteers to serve as Roots of Empathy Instructors in Bay Area schools. ROE instructors typically have experience working with children and are often retired teachers, social workers, school guidance counselors, early childhood educators, or other youth and family workers. The position requires a two-year commitment.
